The Union Catholic girls volleyball team, No. 9 in the NJ.com Top 20, rallied in the second set to defeat No. 17 Westfield, 25-19, 25-22, to win the Union County Tournament Friday at Kean University’s Harwood Arena.
Union Catholic, the top seed, took the opening set, 25-19, behind strong serving and being the aggressor up front. Things got tight in the second set, however, when the second-seeded Blue Devils took a 9-6 lead early before Union Catholic fought back.
