PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Westfield defensive end Owen Kessler was a dominant force for the Blue Devils all season long. And against rival Bridgewater-Raritan in the North Jersey, Section 2, Group final, the senior lineman was once again one of the best players on the field. With the Westfield offense hampered by injuries, the defense needed to step up. Kessler had a pair of sacks and countless pressures as the Blue Devils topped Bridgewater-Raritan, 15-13, to repeat as champion.
