Spearheaded by Kent Place parent Elisa Charters P ’21 and Tennis Coach Mike Manna, the KPS Tennis Team is hosting a drive for our Union County community to contribute lightly-used sports clothing, t-shirts, unused hats/caps, tennis gear, racquets, cleats, any sneakers, etc. Soccer and basketball equipment/clothing are also needed. The equipment will be sent to the Central Africa Sports Project, an independent nonprofit organization that promotes sports in central Africa in partnership with the Equality Studies Gender Initiative, a 501c3 U.S.-based non-profit, which has a mission to globally educate and empower girls and boys to break cycles of violence against them. There will be a booth set up to accept all athletic equipment on the lower turf field located off of 42 Norwood Ave in Summit, on Saturday, September 21, from 12pm – 3pm. For more information or to discuss a donation please contact Elisa Charters at: elisa.charters@gmail.com.
