Jasmine Miller has been named New Providence’s Union County Conference Girls Athlete of the Week.
Miller, a junior, had a fantastic week leading the Pioneers girls basketball team to its second straight Union County Championship.
In the semifinals of the county tournament, Jasmine put up 20 points and added 5 rebounds during the team’s gritty 48-44 victory over Roselle Catholic. She followed that up by leading the team in scoring with 15 points and had 6 rebounds to spark New Providence to a 46-34 victory over Westfield in the Union County Championship game on Feb. 19 at Kean University.
