It was a very good for Union County tennis that was highlighted by a season long battle at the top between Kent Place and Summit. Summit defeated Kent Place twice in the regular season by scores of 3-2, but the teams split the Union County Tournament title with the first tie ever in tournament history. Junior Emma Verpoucke of Kent Place had another standout season and won her third consecutive Union County Tournament with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Katherine Ge of New Providence.
