Gabby Ziegenbalg is Union Catholic’s Union County Conference Female Athlete of the Week.
Ziegenbalg, a senior guard on the basketball team, became the 11th girl in Union Catholic history to score 1,000 point in her career when she buried a three-pointer late in the second quarter vs. Cranford on Feb. 13.
Led by Ziegenbalg, who is averaging 18.7 points per game and 3.8 3-pointers per game, the Vikings are 16-7 and in first place in the Union County Conference’s Mountain Division.
