The Elizabeth Board of Education formally approved the appointment of John Fiore as the school’s new head football coach on Thursday night.
After leading Montclair to four sectional titles and seven championship appearances in 11 seasons, the 53 year-old Fiore took a leave of absence last fall.
Fiore has also coached at Spotswood, Marlboro and his alma mater, Neptune.
