With the stinging memory of falling by a wide margin in the finals last year still in his head, Brearley sophomore wrestler Patrick Phillips just wanted to stay true to himself. Phillips figured that if he was able to execute his strategy – which consisted of pushing offense, being always on his toes, staying in every match and never quitting and keeping on pushing – that he would have a chance at a first-place trophy this time.
