Abigail Jonathan – Kent Place: Abby’s performance on the field is second to none with eight goals to date this season her tenacity knows no bounds. Abby’s unselfish play sets the standard for the Kent Place team, just as content to help her peers score by serving up a terrific assist. The junior captain leads the team this season with seven assists to date all from a defensive mid-field position. Abby has demonstrated a wonderful understanding of what it means to be a mentor leading by example with passion and excellence as a captain of the Kent Place team.

Emma Verpoucke – Kent Place: Emma has a record of 11-2 on the 2016 season thus far.  She will be playing in the finals of the Union County Tennis Tournament at first singles for the third year in a row.  She has won the tournament her freshman and sophomore years.  Last season, she also placed second in the NJISAA Tournament.

Noelle Williams – Linden: The 6’0″ senior middle hitter is second in the state in blocks with 42. She has also compiled 92 kills in just 10 matches, leading the girls volleyball team to a 9-1 record. She broke her own single match school record with nine blocks at Union HS earlier in the season.  Noelle is a member of the LHS National Honor Society, Student Vanguard, Student Educational Support Team, Orange Army, Relay For Life, and has a GPA over 93. She is also a starter on the girls basketball team, and was top five in the state in rebounding last season. Several D2 colleges are currently recruiting Noelle.

Katherine Ge – New Providence: Katherine won all of her matches as the #2 seed for first singles in the Union County Girls Tennis Tournament, including a three-hour marathon match in the semi-finals. Her finals match was rained out twice and she is now scheduled to play on Wednesday afternoon for her first Union County Tournament singles championship.

Christiano Hocken – New Providence: Christiano led New Providence to a 3-0 week by scoring five goals and adding three assists.  Against Johnson, Christiano helped New Providence avenge a loss from last year’s state tournament by helping the Pioneers to a 3-1 win in a crossover game against a team one division ahead of them. Against Hillside, he had two goals and an assist to lead the Pioneers to a 4-0 win at Hillside in the preliminary round of the Union County Tournament.

Shannon McDermott – Oak Knoll: Shannon is a senior goalie for the Royals varsity soccer team. She currently has 51 saves on the season; including two shut outs and has been instrumental in Oak Knoll’s 8-0 starts.

Carly Pompei – Oak Knoll: Carly is a senior outside hitter on the volleyball team. Her career statistics include 113 service aces, 301 service points, 299 kills, 17 assists, 19 blocks, and 522 digs. She has been an intricate part of the team’s 9-1 record.
