Andrew Avent is Rahway’s Union County Conference Male Athlete of the Week
Avent has been a three-year starter on the Rahway High School football team at the running back and linebacker positions. A relentless performer on both sides of the ball, Avent has rushed for 150 yards per game this season and is already closing in on the 1,000-yard mark in week seven. As a co-captain and leader on defense, Avent has registered a team-high 10 tackles per game. He also serves as the punter for the Rahway Indians, averaging 38 yards per punt.
