Terrance Anderson needed to find a way to overcome a series of bitter losses on Thursday.
With the Rahway High School football team driving in A.L. Johnson territory, the senior running back lost a first-half fumble, bringing added frustration to Anderson against a team that Rahway hasn’t beaten in his tenure.
But Anderson went from goat to hero, securing a late game-clinching interception to rally Rahway to a 34-33 victory over Johnson in the Mid-State 38 Mountain Division battle Thursday.
With the victory, Rahway closes the holiday series gap against their neighboring Union County rivals to 12-11.
