The Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School girls swimming team will begin the 2016-17 season as two-time defending Union County Tournament champions. This year, the Raiders will look to three-peat.

“Obviously, we’d like to win the county’s again,” said Scotch Plains-Fanwood coach Jess Hulnik, who is entering her 22nd season leading the program. “We’re a pretty good team this year, we have some pretty lofty goals and we hope to at least do what we did last year and maybe try to do a little better.”

Last year, the Raiders lost to Chatham 88-82 in the NJSIAA North 2 Public B Tournament final as the team finished with a 12-2 record.
