The Mid-State 38 and Greater Middlesex Conference have had discussions about potentially merging and becoming New Jersey’s latest football super conference, officials from both leagues confirmed to NJ Advance Media. With both conferences starting two-year scheduling cycles for the 2016-17 school year, the soonest a merger could take place would be the 2018-19 school year.
