Matthew Schmidt is New Providence’s Union County Conference Male Athlete of the Week.Matthew has performed at a very high level this season, scoring some really important goals for the team over the past few games. Matthew has scored 14 goals so far, chipping in with 2 hat tricks (3 goals in a single game) and 3 doubles (2 goals per game) in games this season. Matthew also has 2 assists to his name and is someone who the team looks up to in terms of work rate and creativity. He has helped lead the NPHS Soccer Team off to an impressive 7-3 start to the season.
