Addison McGoey is Kent Place’s Union County Conference Athlete of the Week
McGoey is a senior distance runner and has served as a captain for all three seasons.
During the spring season, McGoey lowered her personal record in the mile by 8 seconds at the Blue Devil Classic, winning with a time of 5:02.
Then at the Union County Conference Championships, she won both the 1600 meter and the 3200 meter for the Mountain Division. Addison is committed to run cross country and track at Amherst College next year.
McGoey is looking forward to running the 3200 at the Union County Championships today (Wednesday) and at the State Group Championships later this month.
This past winter, McGoey ran a personal best time of 10:49 in the 3200 to place seventh at the State Meet of Champions.
