The Union Catholic boys won five events on their way to repeating as champions at Thursday’s NJSIAA Non-Public B Relays at the Bennett Center in Toms River.
UC rolled to a 30-point win over runner-up Bishop Eustace, 72-42, to capture it’s fourth state relay championship. The Vikings who won the Non-Public B title in 2013, the Non-Public A championship in 2014, and the Non-Public B title the last two years.
UC finished first in the 4×800 with a meet record time of 8:29.66, and won the SMR (3:46.29), the 4×200 (1:35.12), the pole vault and the high jump. UC also placed second in the 4×400, second in the DMR, and third in the shot put.
In the field, Joey Kilgannon (10-6) and Josh Hunsinger (9-6) combined to win the pole vault, and Kevin Philistin (5-10) and Justice Hicks (5-6) teamed up to win the high jump.
