Sophomore Vida Connolly has been chosen as Oak Knoll’s Union County Conference Athlete of the Week. Vida and her Oak Knoll team recently competed at Districts where the Sabre squad came in second place overall. Vida also qualified for the State Individual Tournament, one of only three fencers in the district to do so. Vida is the only Oak Knoll fencer to qualify and move on to the state competition. She will head to the state competition on February 26 at Bernards High School. Continuing her impressive streak, last weekend our fencing team competed in the Montclair Frosh/Soph invitational where Vida took home the gold in Sabre. Congrats Vida!!
