Lila Carroll has been named Dayton’s Union County Conference Female Athlete of the Week.
The freshman has been a huge addition to the Dayton softball team this season and has been a force both at the plate and in the circle. She has pitched to a 2.89 ERA with 121 strikeouts and just 80 hits allowed in 101 2/3 innings.
Carroll has also been mashing with the bat with a .522 batting average, four home runs, 15 doubles, 24 RBI and 22 runs scored. She helped lead Dayton to the semifinals of the Union County Tournament last week and has the Bulldogs in prime position in North Jersey, Section 2, Group 2 as the No. 2 seed.
