Maddy Long went 2-for-4 with a grand slam as second-seeded Cranford stopped fifth-seeded South Plainfield 5-1 in the final of the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 3 tournament in Cranford.

Avery Toddings allowed only three hits and struck out 13 while Sophia DeMarco went 1-for-2 with a home run for Cranford (26-4), which won its 10th straight game.
South Plainfield (21-7) lost for the first time in five games.
